We had a great meal for us and our 2 children with one couscous (chicken and vegetables) and one chicken tagine with lemon and olives. They brought a sizable bread basket and a chicken sauce and some harissa paste. It was all delicious and a wonderful meal for 150 dirham! It felt like dining in someone’s home, as is any good Moroccan experience!

Truly incredible food! We had three different tajines (kefta, chicken and meat with prunes). It was cooked by a lovely young women. Don’t be scared to open the unmarked door and walk in! The best meal I had in Morocco

After a week in Morocco having local specialties, Ya Hala served us the best chicken taijine and the best couscous. The Harira was amazing to warm up in a Meknes rainy day

Right at the moment we were disappointed with the food in Morocco, this restaurant made it up for us! It looks like a house, just knock on the door with the trip advisor sticker on, or push. A very friendly host will be there soon to greet you and lead you to a very home like space while his mother cooks all the delicious dishes in the menu. It is worth the wait for the food to be prepared, it’s like asking from your mum or grandma to make you something special to eat! We ate the veal tajine and vegetables couscous and both were exceptional!Don’t miss this spot!

This was the best meal on my week long trip to Morocco easily. The atmosphere was amazing, felt like i was dining in a small Moroccan family home. The service was lovely, only being a mother cooking and serving. Despite not speaking any mutual languages, it was very clear she was still a very lovely and down to earth person. The food we had was incredible, we had tajines, and the amount of flavour and authenticity was incredible. This place is hard to find, simply being a closed door you have to open to get in, but once you get in, it is truly a place worth being with some of the best food in the country.شكرا لك!

Love this place! It's a restaurant run in a house by a mother and son Duo.! Be prepared to wait for at least an hour after you order. Everything is prepared fresh according to your order, it's so worth the wait!We ordered the Veal with prune tagine, Zaalouk(which was to die for) and the Veg couscous. The son was so friendly he even took us to the town square to help us buy a tagine and spices at the rates the locals buy stuff.

A true hidden gem in Meknés. Delicious and fresh Moroccan food in a relaxed and effortless environment. Everything we tried on the menu was so tasty and stood out from other Moroccan restaurant experiences. The service is phenomenal - polished table setting and some mint tea while you wait. Professional yet natural. شكرا

This is really home made food! The dishes cooks freshly! You have to wait not less than 30 mins while preparing the food! The restuarant is inside a family house .. mean you are eating similar to their food!I don't think you gonna find a place were is really food is cooks (from scratches) when you arrive
